The Central Mineral Baths, with their striped walls, domes and ceramic decoration, opened in 1913 over the springs that have drawn people to Sofia since antiquity. Today the building houses the Regional History Museum, which tells the story of the city. Outside, in the little park, warm mineral water flows from public fountains, and locals queue to fill their bottles.
