About Vihren and Pirin National Park
Pirin National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has more than a hundred glacial lakes and peaks of granite and marble, including Vihren, at 2,914 metres. The road from Bansko leads up to the Vihren hut, the starting point for many hikes.
